Pay as you go / Prepayment Mobile Phones
Prepayment phones, aka pay as you go phones are nowadays becoming very popular amongst many of us. This kind or price plan can be a good way for some of us to budget the spend on our phone calls. The reason is because your calls are limited to the amount of credit available on your phone and as soon as your available credit runs out no more calls can me made until the phone is topped up.
The rates on pay as you go phones differ from the various networks, and also tend to be more expensive than a phone on a contract. If you are someone who finds budgeting a task, then I recommend that you take a look at the various pay as you go contracts, but not before going through my check list within my previous posts.
Some operators attach conditions to pay as you go phones in the sense that some require you to use the available air time within a set time frame otherwise you may loose it. Others may require you to top up your phone within a certain time frame otherwise the Sim card becomes inactive. I also advise that if you intend on going for a pay as you go phone that you ensure that you find out whether there are any conditions attached.
In my next post I intend on writing about the benefits of owning a pay as you go phone.
Please look out for this post.
